Named for the soft-clipping diodes that give this overdrive it’s characteristic “Mid Frequency Punch,” the 4148 is our homage to the original classic Overdrives built in the 1970’s.
The 4148 Overdrive is built with “Through Hole” construction, using the Dual Inline Pin version of the 4558 OpAmp, very high quality Capacitors, and 1 Watt Carbon Film Resistors, a combination that delivers wide, full overdrive, as well as ease of maintenance.
